Job retention scheme:update

Following over 70,000 signatures to an online petition the government has now extended the date for which you qualify.

The original cut off date was that you had to have been on the payroll by 28 February 2020 in order to qualify for the scheme. This has now been extended to the 19th March after intense public pressure.

HMRC also report that after successful BETA testing their Job retention portal will go live on the 20th April with the first repayments made by the end of the month, a huge relief to those employers whose cashflow was a prohibiting factor.

Please follow the page to keep uptodate with more updates and when the portal will go live.

Stay safe.
